The Apache Running Challenge is a 6-week program built from the real training methods of the Apache: one of history’s greatest endurance and guerrilla warriors. These methods trained men to outrun cavalry horses across broken terrain, survive deserts, and move unseen over mountains.
I used many of these same practices during my own 802-mile ultramarathon, where I followed Native American historical sites and tested them across real distance.
What’s Inside
• Duration: 6 weeks (5 training days per week)
• Session Length: 45–75 minutes
• Coaching Videos: 60 total instructional videos
• Difficulty Level: Medium to High — scalable for all levels with Beginner, Standard, and Advanced options
• Equipment Needed: Sandbag or stone, kettlebell or dumbbell, resistance bands, pull-up bar and a pack or backpack.

The program also includes authentic diet guidelines for traditional Apache staples, adapted for modern kitchens. This approach provides high protein, functional carbohydrates, and natural fats — fueling endurance and recovery the same way Apache warriors did.

I LOVED this training routine. The primal strength training and the diet made it SO much more fun than my regardless running routine. It took me two tries to complete the full challenge without missing a day, but it was well worth it! 10/10!
I deeply enjoyed this one. The Apache running challenge does an insane job of applying real Apache training methods to modern athletes. The training is as precise, simple and effective as that used by top coaches, and yet all the history is deeply researched and presented in simple form. The diet was also amazing for my energy and body.
